What's Underneath - Flight of the Polymath

What’s Underneath begins with a question: What remains when we look beneath the surface?

Inspired by the Flight of the Polymath song of the same name, the design moves through the worlds of science, music, mind, body, and spirit. The microscope and Petri dish evoke our attempt to understand life by examining its smallest pieces. The eye and brain turn the search inward. The skeleton exposes the physical structure beneath appearances, while the figure and light at its center suggest that even after everything has been dissected, measured, and named, the question may remain.

Are we only skeleton, keratin, chemistry, thoughts, and clothes? A biological machine assembled from increasingly smaller parts? Or is there something about consciousness, soul, meaning, and our experience of the divine that cannot be completely accounted for by reduction?

What’s Underneath lives in that tension—not as an answer, but as an invitation to keep looking.
